We are a group of non-denominational worshippers seeking to promote skilled biblical worship in Lancaster County region. We can be a friend and a resource for one another by connecting and helping each other in this dynamic, challenging adventure of corporate musical worship. I hope you'll join us! The three main purposes that are central to what we hope to accomplish in our gatherings are as follows:
INSPIRE: The why of worship.
Basically, what the bible says about worship... We all need encouragement, edification, prayer, accountability, rebuke, and the like. We need to be renewed and filled up. We need to hear and be reminded of what the bible actually says about worship instead of trends and traditions that may distract us. Relationships, team building, and pastoring are an aspect of all worship ministries too. We need to constantly draw from fresh and living waters of the Holy Spirit. Hopefully these events can be one such place to be encouraged and lifted up along the side of your peers across town.
CONNECT: The unity of worship
Unfortunately in today's world there are so many things that divide our churches. Our churches might even have a tendency to be secluded and feel quite alone to figure things out alone. Is that God's plan for the body of Christ? We believe as in all areas of life, worship is a place of level ground. You could also say worship or "worth-ship" is a place to submit all aspects of life and to be unified in the perfect work of Christ both individually and as a local church... and well... as the greater Church body. What better avenue is there to connect the body of Christ than in worship?
EQUIP: The how of worship.
We've planned 6 events in 2011 that we hope can be a real opportunity to equip our teams. In picking the topics, we asked ourselves what kind of training we need in our churches this year, so these are things that will be a real help to us. Bring your ideas and share what has and has not worked well in your experiences. These events are designed to be the main training that your worship team receives this year and so these events will introduce you to ideas, concepts, resources, and hopefully lasting relationships to help guide and supplement your ministry. This is a place to ask questions and get honest, Biblical answers with no strings attached. There's no agenda or sales pitch at the end. However, if you ask, we can put you in contact with trusted folks who can be a resource to you if you need to go deeper than these training events can go.
